About Paul Deaver
I would like to introduce myself. Our family of 5 moved to Ord in the May of 2008 where I took the position as your Chief Deputy with the VCSO. In 2009 we purchased our home in Ord in which we still reside today. In the July of 2012 I left the VCSO and joined the team of the Ord Police Department where I’m employed at this time. My family and I have made Valley County and Ord our home from the first time we drove into town and I’m proud to be able to serve the County as well the City of Ord.
I have been serving the public since April of 1997 as an enlisted soldier in the US Army. While stationed in Germany I met my wife Dani of 19 years. As I exited the service we returned to the US in the summer of 2001. As I was raised with a father who was a Law Enforcement Officer for 40 years I was ready to start my own career in Law Enforcement. During my 16 years as a LEO I held many different positions, from Deputy, Chief Deputy, City Officer and Interim Police Chief.
I would like to take a moment to thank the people who made this opportunity possible. My wife and family who always stand behind me and support me. My father who I had the opportunity to work with, to learn from, and to go to for advise. Robert Bellamy who was the Sheriff of Dundy County in 2001, hired me, and allowed me to start my career. Robert also taught me a lot and gave me the opportunity to work along side with my father. Jim Disney, Clyde Beckman, Adam Miller, and Korey Johnson who both have been long time Law Enforcement Officers and friends of mine. And not to forget our local and surrounding agencies who always have each others backs and to keep each of us safe.

Thank you,
Paul Deaver
